An explosion in a restaurant on the evening of Saturday 23 October, on the outskirts of Kampala, left one dead and several injured.
President Yoweri Museveni said it appeared to be "

The attack happened at 9 p.m. local time on Saturday night at a busy restaurant in the Ugandan capital, which was televising a roadside football match in Komamgoba, north of Kampala.
According to statements by President Yoweri Museveni, three people left a package there which then exploded.
The first assessment reported by the authorities shows one dead and five injured.
No claim for the attack has yet been communicated.

It seems to be a terrorist act, but we will find the perpetrators,
" said the head of state on Twitter.
I have been briefed on the bomb incident in Kwata zone, Komamboga.
The Information I have is that 3 people came and left a package in kaveera which later on exploded, killing 1 person and injuring 5 others.
It seems to be a terrorist act but we shall get the perpetrators.

Multiplication of alerts
In recent weeks, alerts on possible attacks have multiplied.
The French and UK embassies have called on travelers to Uganda to be vigilant in busy public spaces.
The last
mass attack in the country occurred in 2010
during the soccer world cup final.
Two bombings, claimed by the Somali Shebabs, had killed 76 people in the capital.
