The New York Times, a leading U.S. newspaper, reported on November 13 that the U.S. military was conducting a sweeping operation against the militant group IS = Islamic State, and in March, a fighter jet bombed near Bugs in eastern Syria. Despite killing 80 people, including children and women, information has been hidden within the military.
On the 29th, the US Department of Defense announced that the Secretary of Defense Austin had ordered a new investigation into the airstrike.
The investigation will review the report on air strikes and verify the details of the damage to the residents, the procedure for reporting, and whether or not they complied with international law.
The U.S. military admitted that the airstrikes in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, killed 10 civilians in August after several media outlets reported the possibility of an accidental bombing. It is expected that criticism of the US military response will increase further.
