Typhoon No. 6 is expected to move from the west while involving the Daito Islands region of Okinawa Prefecture in the storm area, and will become a strong force and approach Okinawa by July 23.

According to the Meteorological Observatory, Typhoon No. 6 is expected to travel 160 km south-southwest of Minamidaitojima at noon to the west-northwest at a speed of about 10 km per hour.
