The actual wave data showed that at 13:30 on the 12th, a buoy located in the southern part of the East China Sea had detected a violent wave with an effective wave height of 7.1 meters.
As the typhoon approaches, the wave height is still increasing.
The center of the typhoon "Sandu" was located on the southern part of the East China Sea at 16:00 on the 12th, about 445 kilometers south of Xiangshan County, Zhejiang Province.
It is expected that "Sandu" will continue to move to the north, and may land on the coast from Zhoushan to Sanmen, Zhejiang during the daytime on the 13th, or pass the coastal waters of Zhoushan into Hangzhou Bay.
Affected by the typhoon, it is expected that from the night of the 12th to the day of the 13th, there will be violent waves of 7 meters to 12 meters in the East China Sea and the east of Taiwan to the turbulent area, and waves of 4 meters to 6 meters in the coastal waters of Shanghai and Zhejiang will appear. Severe waves; large waves of 2.5 meters to 3.5 meters will appear in the coastal waters of southern Jiangsu; medium to large waves of 2 meters to 3 meters will occur in the coastal waters of northern Fujian.
In terms of storm surge, affected by the "Chandu", it is expected that from the afternoon of the 12th to the afternoon of the 13th, there will be a storm increase of 100 cm to 240 cm along the coast from Nantong, Jiangsu to Ningbo, Zhejiang, and 30 cm to 130 cm from Taizhou, Zhejiang to Fuzhou, Fujian.
