A two-year-old adopted child became unconscious with a cerebral hemorrhage, and the police urgently arrested her adopted child.



The Women and Youth Investigation Unit of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency urgently arrested Mr. A in his 30s at 0:09 am today (9th) on charges of serious injury under the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes.



Two-year-old B, adopted by Mrs. A, was brought to a nearby hospital unconscious at a house in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do at around 6 o'clock yesterday evening.



The hospital saw that Miss B was in serious condition and was transferred to a university hospital in Incheon.



Medical staff reported that Ms. B had a cerebral hemorrhage and bruises were found on her face and body, and reported suspected abuse to the police.



The police saw Mr. A, who brought Miss B to the hospital, as a suspected abuse, and arrested him urgently.



According to a police investigation, it was found that Mr. A and Mrs. A adopted Ms. B in August of last year.



Ms. B has undergone brain surgery and is recovering, but it is said that she has not yet found consciousness.



Police said there have been no reports of abuse since Ms. B was adopted.
