Poyang Lake selected "Shrimp King" and "Shrimp Queen"
On May 14, the first Crayfish Food Festival in Nanchang (Henghu), Jiangxi Province, opened at the Henghu Reclamation Farm in the Xinjian District of Nanchang City.
During the period, the lobster with the heaviest weight was selected as "King Shrimp" and "Queen Shrimp", and awards were given to lobster farmers.
In this year's first Lobster Festival, the weight of the selected "King Shrimp" reached 96.49 grams and the weight of "Queen Shrimp" reached 94.30 grams after audition and finals.
The State-owned Henghu Reclamation Farm in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province was established in September 1961. It is located in the lower reaches of the Gan River in the northern suburbs of Nanchang City, on the banks of Poyang Lake. The crayfish produced have the characteristics of green back, sharp claws and thin crusts, and pure fragrance.
In recent years, Nanchang Henghu Reclamation Farm has actively carried out the adjustment of the agricultural industry structure. The rice and shrimp fields have grown from 300 acres to 38,000 acres in 2021. Processing, catering and consumption, leisure and tourism" in one, the complete industrial chain of the in-depth integration of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries is a model for the development of the rice and shrimp industry in Jiangxi Province.
At present, the Henghu Reclamation Farm has also become a high-quality agricultural product supply base in Nanchang City and an important destination for residents' rural tourism.
