Among the 38 million French people concerned, two million civil servants will receive, in January, the "inflation allowance" of € 100, promised by the Prime Minister, Jean Castex, on October 21, announced Amélie de Montchalin, Minister of Transformation and the Civil Service, this Thursday on Europe 1.
“Our objective is to be on targeted and effective aid.
Two million civil servants will receive this aid in January 2022, ”she said of this measure put in place to preserve the purchasing power of the French in the face of soaring fuel prices.
Almost 40% of category C civil servants
This allowance will be affected by civil servants having received, between January 1 and October 31, 2021, an average remuneration of less than € 2,000 net per month, before income tax, i.e. around 40% of civil servants, mainly category C.
“We decided to be fair and efficient, to change the lives of those at the bottom of the pyramid who serve these local professions,” added Amélie de Montchalin.
