Two men were placed in pre-trial detention in Béziers (Hérault), suspected of being the perpetrators of a dozen burglaries or attempted burglaries targeting exclusively bakeries in Hérault and Gard, gendarmes indicate.

They will be presented to the criminal court on July 9.

A loss of 50,000 euros

The suspects, aged 33 and 34, arrested on June 10, "with a criminal record already particularly loaded", specify the gendarmerie services, are accused of having acted between May 30 and June 2.

On board a vehicle fitted with false plates, they are suspected of breaking into bakeries using a crowbar, to steal cash from the crates. The total damage is estimated at more than 50,000 euros, of which 4,300 euros were seized during their arrest.
