The woman had gotten in touch with one of the guys via Snapchat.

He invited her to an apartment where they were partying with a friend of the man.

During the initial conversation on Snapchat, the woman had been clear that she did not want to have sex with the men.

However, according to the verdict, the men wanted something different.

The district court believes that the evidence, in the form of DNA traces and testimonies from the woman, states that they had sex with her against her will.

The men are therefore sentenced, against their refusal, to imprisonment for four years each and must pay a total compensation to the woman of SEK 150,000.

Higher punishment than what the prosecutor demanded

The prosecutor had demanded that the men be sentenced to two and a half years in prison, but the district court considers that the penalty should be significantly higher because it is two perpetrators who sexually assaulted a victim.

The prosecutor had demanded that the men be deported after serving their sentences, but this was rejected by the district court.
