Twitter is preparing to launch the “The Herd” feature: a tweet to trusted friends

Reports revealed that the Twitter site for tweets is preparing to launch a new feature that allows sharing tweets with a certain group of individuals, who are called the “herd.”

Twitter first gave a glimpse of the feature last July, which it called "trusted friends" at the time, but it has taken shape since then.

Smartphone developer Alessandro Paluzzi has released leaks of the "swarm" feature, which shows that up to 150 members can be added to view private tweets, and those selected users can reply to and interact with them.

If the user wishes to remove one of these individuals from his flock, he will not receive a notification that he has been removed.

“Twitter is always working on new ways to help people engage in healthy conversations, and we are currently exploring ways to allow people to participate more privately,” Twitter spokeswoman Tatiana Britt told Sputnik.

It is noteworthy that, last September, Twitter launched a feature similar to the “herd” feature, but it allows sending tweets to users with common interests instead of all followers.
