Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey confirmed on his own platform the information that he would resign from his post in the social network at the little blue bird.

The business manager explains that he wants to put an end to the model according to which the founder of a company runs it eternally.

He had returned in 2015. He is now leaving for good.

The co-founder of Twitter Jack Dorsey confirms on his own social network a news first announced by the American media: he will resign from his post of general manager of Twitter.

Jack Dorsey wants to put an end to the business model where the founder also runs the box.

He says he worked hard to get the company Twitter ready to "cut the cord with its founders."

Since his return to the head of the company in 2015, Jack Dorsey has faced a lot of criticism.

Explosion in the number of followers of his replacement

The co-founder of Twitter was criticized in particular for continuing to manage his other company, Square, a mobile payment system, alongside the social network.

Just like its failure to monetize the Twitter audience, a far cry from the advertising revenue that Facebook manages to generate, for example.

It is Parag Agrawal, hitherto director of new technologies at Twitter, who will replace Jack Dorsey as general manager of the social network.

The man is described as "sharp, curious, rational, creative and humble" by his now ex-boss.

Parag Agrawal saw his number of followers on Twitter surge after the announcement of his new post: It went from 24,000 followers to more than 200,000 in less than 24 hours.
