Toyota Motor's domestic and overseas production volume was more than 620,000 units last month, down about 25% from the same month of the previous year, falling below the previous year's level for three consecutive months.

In Southeast Asia, where there are many production bases for parts manufacturers, lockdown continued due to the spread of infection, and the supply of various parts such as semiconductors was stagnant. In particular, domestic production was halved.

On the other hand, Toyota says that the impact of the shortage of parts supply is disappearing, and next month, the recovery production to make up for the reduced production will start in earnest and domestic and overseas production is expected to reach a record high.
