On August 12th, local time, the Tokyo Paralympic torch gathering activity began. In the coming week, the torch collected in 47 prefectures and prefectures across Japan will gather together with the torch from Mandeville, the birthplace of the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. The complete Paralympic torch will finally light the main torch at the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games.
The Tokyo Paralympics will be held from August 24 to September 5. As the number of confirmed cases in Tokyo has hit a new high recently, the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee is considering holding all Paralympic games behind closed doors.
Approximately 4,400 athletes participated in this Paralympic Games, and there were 12,000 other registered personnel including officials and media.
