Meanwhile, on the 27th of last month, a man in his early 30s who was diagnosed with the second thrombocytopenic thrombosis in Korea after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine died.
The man was confirmed to have no underlying disease.
Health authorities have so far said that the death was presumed to be due to thrombocytopenic thrombosis, but if the cause of death is confirmed, it will be recorded as the first case of death due to a side effect of a vaccine.
Health officials said the first patient with thrombosis was discharged last weekend after symptoms improved.
