Good evening

to the mood in the outdoor pools

it doesn't seem to be for the best.

In Frankfurt, there is even an external security service on days when there is a high rush, the police union says that disputes in outdoor pools are now a “recurring part” of the everyday work of many officials.

Why actually?

And who are those who don't stick to the rules there, which aren't that difficult to understand and can be summed up in one sentence: Leave the others alone?

Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) has now spoken out vaguely for more police presence in the outdoor pools after the situation in a Berlin pool had escalated.

But that's not right either.

The police union says officers already have enough to do.

And at the bathing establishments in Frankfurt it is said that

officials are rarely called.

The state of emergency prevails in Frankfurt traffic from Monday:

the S 6 is interrupted between Bad Vilbel and Frankfurt, the northern Mainkai is closed to car traffic, once again.

After all: In the case of the S-Bahn line, the closure serves a good purpose.

The railway line will be expanded from two to four tracks so that the various trains will no longer interfere with each other.

This will make the S 6 more punctual and faster, and there is good hope that it will be used even more than before.

It remains to be seen whether the Mainkai closure will also have good consequences.

When the road had already been closed in 2019/2020, there was great chaos, especially in Sachsenhausen.

The Rhein-Main-Zeitung commented.

Chaos is no longer a foreign word

at Frankfurt Airport either.

A lot is going wrong there at the moment, and even if on the one hand you have sympathy for Fraport and Lufthansa, because they might not have expected that the desire to travel would return so quickly, on the other hand it is extremely annoying and damaging to their reputation the location that so little works.

The FAZ looked around there at the weekend, and Hanna Koban came to the sobering conclusion: Some people have been stuck for days.
