A 36-year-old man was sentenced to three years in prison by the Béziers criminal court.

On June 24, in the sub-prefecture of Hérault, he entered a physiotherapist's office through a French window before breaking into the safe and stealing the contents, or 188 euros.

Warned of the current offense, the health professional went to his office, helped by two friends, before controlling him while waiting for the arrival of the police.

Continued detention

Originally from Meurthe-et-Moselle, the defendant has already been convicted 31 times, mainly for theft.

The judges decided on his continued detention after the hearing.

The defendant appealed this decision.
