This Friday, an accident took place on the stairs of the Saint-Lambert building high school.

A high school student who was climbing the stairs to go to class saw a gate collapse under his feet, carrying him into a vacuum, reports

Le Parisien

.

The high school student and the grid landed directly on two other students located below.

Slightly injured, the three high school students left the hospital.

The defective staircase will be overhauled after this accident, all the more incomprehensible since the school had been renovated just two years ago.

Closed on Monday and investigation

The school will therefore not reopen before the passage of the safety committee.

This commission is supposed to arrive "as quickly as possible", but concretely, the classrooms will not be open for at least this Monday.

Following this incident, teachers had exercised their right of withdrawal, indicating that they too had discovered many flaws in this renovation for two years.

A judicial investigation has been opened, as has an internal investigation of the Ile-de-France region.
