The Norwegian Handball Association's proposal has been sent to the Ministry of Culture, the Norwegian Directorate of Health and the Norwegian Public Health Agency.

- We have proposed a solution where the whole team does not have to go out.

It is about isolating current players and extended testing of all others involved, says Norway's handball chairman Kåre Geir Lio according to VG.

In a few days, they hope to have an answer and after that, the European Handball Federation, EHF, is expected to decide whether it is possible to arrange the European Championships in Norway.

"It is not sustainable"

It is VG that reports on the attempts to get around the current Norwegian rules, which say that everyone who has been in close contact with a covid-19 infected in the last 48 hours must be put in a ten-day quarantine.

If no exception is made, a team that suffers a corona fall will be excluded from the European Championships, just like the team's latest opponent.

At the same time, other rules apply in the co-organizer Denmark, where Sweden must play its group game.

- It is not sustainable to play a European Championship on those terms, said Sweden's national team captain Tomas Axnér in connection with him presenting the squad earlier this week.
