Eight clubs from the Arab Gulf League refused to agree to crown Al-Ahly youth with the title of the current season 2019/2020, and to increase the league seats next season to 16 clubs. This came during the extraordinary general meeting, which was held this afternoon, while only six clubs voted in favor of crowning Al-Ahly youth and increasing professional clubs. The meeting endorsed the association's decision yesterday to cancel the current season with all its results without adopting the coronation or landing.

And leaks had come out before the meeting to lead a number of clubs, most notably Al Ain, Al Jazeera and Al Wahda, a decision to refuse to crown Al Ahly youth and increase the league seats.

The agenda of which professional clubs received a copy did not include any item to vote on the crowning of Al-Ahly youth with the title of the Arab Gulf League, as the items of the meeting included five points, namely, calling to attend and verifying the completion of the quorum for the meeting, followed by a speech by the president of the Association’s Board of Directors, Abdullah Nasser Al-Junaibi, and three club officials were chosen to approve the minutes of the meeting and appoint the external auditor.

The most important point in the meeting was the adoption of the system of ups and downs for the current season, and the upcoming 2020/2021, and the resulting decisions. The association's invitation to professional clubs included looking at the text of Articles No. 1, 3 and 4 of Article 45 of the Basic Law,

The discussions of four items out of the five placed in the meeting schedule took about 45 minutes before the start of voting on the fourth item related to crowning Al-Ahly youth, and increasing the seats in the Arab Gulf League to 16 clubs.
