The Ice Skating Federation held the '2022 Beijing Winter Olympics reward transfer ceremony' today (the 4th) at Lotte Hotel World in Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu, and paid prizes to medalists and leaders in ice sports.



The ice skating federation allocated 100 million won for gold medals, 50 million won for silver medals, and 30 million won for bronze medals to individual event medalists.



In addition, 200 million won for gold medals, 150 million won for silver medals, and 100 million won for bronze medals were set for team events.



This is twice the amount of the reward for the 2018 Pyeongchang Games.



As a result, Choi Min-jung, who won a total of 3 medals, including 1 gold and 1 silver medal in the short track women's individual event and 1 silver medal in the team event (relay), received a reward of 180 million won.



In addition, Hwang Dae-heon (Gangwon Provincial Office), who won one gold medal in the men's short track and one silver medal in the team event (relay), received 130 million won.



What stands out is the amount of Choi Min-jung's bounty (180 million won).



Choi Min-jung, who received 150 million won for her individual event medal, received 30 million won for her relay reward.




As the silver medal reward in the team event was 150 million won, the five female athletes who participated in the Beijing Games received the same 30 million won each.



As a result, 'team event member' Park Ji-yoon, who was initially excluded from the award of medals, also received a bounty from the Ice Skating Federation.



Ji-yoon Park competed in the short track team event at the Beijing Olympics, but did not get a chance to compete in the semifinals and finals of the 3,000m relay event.
