Stina Nilsson is charging for her first season as a biathlete and the plan has always been for Nilsson to compete in the IBU Cup, the level during the World Cup, during the debut season.

But on Friday, the news came that all competitions in the IBU Cup in November and December will be canceled due to the corona pandemic.

How skiers, who usually qualify for the World Cup via the IBU Cup, do now is currently unclear.

But Sweden hopes that Nilsson can get the chance in the World Cup anyway.

- We have asked the IBU if it is possible that Stina can run the World Cup without having qualified there via the IBU Cup.

But we have not heard anything yet, I guess it has received a lot of questions after the news came that the cup is canceled.

In some countries, there is an entire team that must qualify, says national team coach Johannes Lukas to Expressen.
