The UAE's harvest rises to 22 medals in the "Kuwait Gulf"

The UAE's tally rose to 22 colored medals in the third Gulf Games hosted by Kuwait until the 31st of this month.

Yousef Al-Matrooshi won silver at the end of the swimming team’s participation in the 100-meter freestyle race, recording a time of 51.12 seconds. Kuwaiti Walid Abdul Razzaq won the gold medal, and Qatar’s Mohammed Mohammed won the bronze.

The 22 UAE medals were distributed among 4 sports: 3 gold medals for cycling, 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze for swimming, 2 gold, 2 silver, 5 bronze medals for athletics, a gold medal and 4 silvers for shooting.

 The UAE occupies sixth place in the general ranking table, as host Kuwait topped the table with a total of 56 medals, including 21 gold, 17 silver and 18 bronze medals.
