In detail, data from the United Nations World Tourism Organization showed that the UAE market attracted about 22.57 million international visitors during the past year, compared to 21.28 million visitors in 2018, with a growth rate of about 6%.

The data indicated that the European continent topped the list of the largest exporting markets for visitors to the UAE market, with a rate of 6.28 million visitors during the past year, followed by the Middle East region with about 5.9 million visitors, compared to about four million visitors from South Asia.

She added that the East Asia and Pacific region ranked fourth in the list of the largest exporting markets for visitors to the UAE, with 3.9 million international visitors, compared to 1.8 million from Africa, and about 1.4 million visitors from the Americas region.

According to the updated data, about 88% of the total international visitors arrived in the UAE by flights, about 19.8 million visitors, compared to about 9.8% through the land ports, and about 2.4% by sea, at a rate of 600,000 international tourists who died.
