  The authorization bill received 316 votes in support and 113 votes against it.

The document includes amendments to expand sanctions on the sovereign debt of the Russian Federation, the possibility of imposing personal sanctions on a series of official Russian personnel, and to impose new sanctions on the "Beixi-2" pipeline.

  Vladimir Jabarov, the first vice-chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian Federation Council, stated on the 23rd that Russia will respond significantly to the new sanctions imposed by the United States against its officials and social activists.

He said: "Russia will make an asymmetrical but significant response to the new US sanctions."
