Imports and exports to Russia amounted to 59.95 billion yuan, accounting for 64.4% of the province's total foreign trade value during the same period.

Among them, exports to Russia were 4.67 billion yuan, an increase of 6.5%; imports from Russia were 55.28 billion yuan, an increase of 19.5%.

At the same time, the province's exports to the United States, Brazil, New Zealand, and ASEAN increased by 22.9%, 78%, 40.7%, and 34.2% respectively; in addition, the import and export of countries along the "Belt and Road" was 70.21 billion yuan, an increase of 19.6%.

  As the northernmost province in the country, Heilongjiang has always been my country's largest province open to cooperation with Russia, and trade with Russia is the province's advantage in foreign trade.

  According to Wang Wei, deputy director of the Harbin Customs Statistics and Analysis Department, the main reason for the large increase in the province’s import and export value with Russia in the first half of this year is that the province’s imports are mainly bulk commodities. Recently, the prices of bulk commodities in the international market have risen. At the same time, the import volume of related products has increased, which has driven the province's import value from Russia to increase substantially.

Recently, Russia’s economy has recovered, and the consumer confidence index has gradually increased along with its economic recovery. Import demand has clearly recovered. Among them, the demand for mechanical and electrical products is strong, which directly drove the rapid growth of the province’s exports of mechanical and electrical products.

In the first half of this year, the province exported 1.09 billion yuan of mechanical and electrical products to Russia, an increase of 23.9%, accounting for 23.2% of the province’s total exports to Russia in the same period.
