New points of express testing for COVID-19 in Moscow

In Moscow, the number of free express testing points for COVID-19 has increased to 50, said Anastasia Rakova, deputy mayor for social development, head of the Moscow operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus infection.

According to her, more than 20 thousand citizens have already undergone diagnostics in the MFC and shopping centers.

“We are expanding the network of free express testing points for COVID-19, now 50 points will operate throughout the city.

From today, in addition to the 20 that are already working in the centers of public services "My Documents", popular public places and shopping centers, we are opening 30 more: in 13 MFCs, in 10 shopping centers and in seven transport hubs, "she said. Rakov.

She stressed that in the face of an increasing incidence of COVID-19, it is very important to timely identify new cases in order to interrupt the chains of infection transmission at the earliest stage.

The Moscow health department recalled that a positive result of an express test is not a confirmation of the disease - a person will be given a PCR study for additional diagnostics right on the spot without queues and an appointment.

Only after confirmation of additional testing, the diagnosis will be considered confirmed, and a doctor will be sent to the home to start treatment.

Since October 11, free points for rapid testing for antigen to coronavirus infection have been launched in ten public places and ten MFCs in the capital.

Moscow also launched a project for free express testing for COVID-19 in ten schools - students will take the test every two weeks.
