The fire extinguishing rate of the forest fire that occurred in Yanggu, Gangwon-do, on the afternoon of the 10th was maintained at 75% as of 6 am today.

The forestry authorities tried their best to catch the fire, but it was in vain, even in the middle of the night, by employing nearly 800 people to build a fire line.

Originally, it was planned to extinguish the flames before the sun went down yesterday, but due to thick smoke and fog, the timing of the helicopter's arrival was delayed.

The wind was blowing hard here, and the work of evolution continued for three days.

Forestry authorities have issued a three-step response to forest fires.

The wildfire that occurred in Gunwi, Gyeongbuk also failed to extinguish the main fire.

At one time, as the wind's momentum subsided, the evolution rate was raised to 50%, but it was difficult to access the strong rocky ground valley, and the embers continued to spread through the gusts, making it difficult to evolve.

So far, 238 hectares of forest have been burned, and 23 households and 30 residents living nearby have been evacuated.
