The State Minister for Cultural Affairs of Germany opposed the abolition of Russian culture in Europe

“What I think is completely wrong is the boycott of everything that makes up Russian culture.

Recently, the burgomaster in North Rhine-Westphalia forbade a youth orchestra to play Tchaikovsky.

There was a public discussion, then they were still allowed to play.

But, of course, disputes continue,” the State Minister shared her attitude towards Russian culture in Germany today. 

Roth believes that Russian culture should not be canceled because it is "the last space of freedom" for creators. 

Earlier, the co-founder of the NGO for the Prevention of Discrimination and Isolation of Russian Germans and Russian-Speaking Fellow Citizens in Germany (VADAR), Bundestag Deputy Yevgeny Schmidt, said that Germany had begun collecting facts about the infringement of Russian Germans and the Russian-speaking population of the country.
