The State Department regrets that the OSCE will not send observers to the elections in Russia

"The United States regrets that the restrictions imposed by the Russian authorities will prevent the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly from independently observing the State Duma elections in September," follows from a written statement by the head of the State Department's press service, Ned Price.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry commented on the OSCE decision on observers for the elections to the State Duma.
