The Beijing Municipal Internet Information Office imposed a total fine of 3 million yuan on Sina Weibo operator Beijing Weimeng Chuangke Network Technology Co., Ltd. according to law.

From January to November 2021, the National Internet Information Office instructed the Beijing Internet Information Office to impose 44 disposal penalties on Sina Weibo and fined it a maximum of 500,000 yuan for multiple times, for a total of 14.3 million yuan.
