China News Service, October 3. According to the WeChat public account of the Laoshan District Cultural and Tourism Bureau of Qingdao City, at about 4:10 a.m. on October 3, the upper part of the Shi Laoshan sea eclipse column suddenly collapsed.
The Laoshan District quickly organized experts to rush to the scene as soon as possible. After on-site investigation, it was believed that the upper part of the Shilao sea erosion column collapsed naturally due to the perennial weathering and seawater erosion, as well as the recent weather.
At present, temporary protection measures have been taken for the Shilaoyan sea erosion column, and the specific restoration plan is under discussion.
