The analysis believes that deepening the cooperation and development of copyright, and continuously improving the commercial value of high-quality content through adaptation of online literary works, such as film and television dramas, online dramas, and games, has become a key factor in ensuring the steady growth of the market.

  In fact, film and television works adapted from online literary works have sparked a "chasing drama" last year.

  Take "Qing Yu Nian" as an example. In 2019, the web drama "Qing Yu Nian" adapted from the online novel of the same name has been viewed 13 billion times on both Tencent Video and iQiyi platforms. This year, it also won the Shanghai TV Festival "White Magnolia". Awards" two grand prizes.

  However, compared with many people's impressions of online literary works on themes such as fantasy, fairy tales, travel through, and history, 61.5% of the 9656 works that received IP adaptations in 2019 were realistic themes.

  Who are the nearly 20 million web authors?

  The report gives such a "portrait": more than 60% of online authors are located in second- and third-tier cities; the number of female authors has surpassed that of men; the degree of education is mainly concentrated in colleges and universities; the proportion of "post-90s" young authors is 44.6%. Has become the main force of creation.

  The average daily creation time of online essay authors is 4.5 hours, the online literature platform is updated with an average of more than 10 million words per day, and the average creation period of works is nearly one year.

  And their average monthly income is 5133.7 yuan.

The reporter noticed that the report chart shows that over 40% of authors earn less than 2,000 yuan per month, and only a few authors earn an average of tens of thousands of yuan per month, and a very small number of authors can earn more than 20,000 to 30,000.
