"On October 29, 2020, as part of a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of the Sputnik V vaccine (Gam-Covid-Vac) in the Republic of Belarus, vaccination with the first component was completed (100 people were vaccinated)," TASS reports.

The ministry added that "the second component as of October 29, 2020 has already been received by 11 participants."

Earlier, the Russian direct investment fund sent applications to the World Health Organization for an accelerated registration procedure for the COVID-19 vaccine Sputnik V.
