  Statistics show that the per capita disposable income of Shanghai residents reached 40,357 yuan in the first half of the year, ranking first in the country and continuing to dominate the group.

Per capita disposable income in Beijing and Zhejiang exceeds 30,000 yuan

  Beijing's per capita disposable income was second only to Shanghai in the first half of the year.

  According to data released by the Beijing Bureau of Statistics, in the first half of the year, the city’s per capita disposable income was RMB 38,138, a nominal increase of 10.3% year-on-year, and an average increase of 6.1% in two years; after deducting price factors, the actual increase was 9.8% year-on-year and an average increase of 4.4% in two years.

  Zhejiang ranked third, with per capita disposable income of residents reaching 30,998 yuan in the first half of the year.

  Beijing and Zhejiang are also two areas where the per capita disposable income of residents exceeds 30,000 yuan, belonging to the second echelon.

  According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first half of the year, the national per capita disposable income was 17,642 yuan, a nominal increase of 12.6% year-on-year.

  In the first half of the year, the national per capita wage income of residents was 10,104 yuan, an increase of 12.1%, compared with the first half of 2019, an average increase of 7.2% in two years.

  Fang Xiaodan, Director of the Department of Households of the National Bureau of Statistics, analyzed that with the continuous recovery of the national economy, the employment situation of residents has continued to improve, which has led to a rapid increase in wage income.

Residents' consumption expenditures recovering rebound

  On the basis of the overall stability of the epidemic prevention and control situation and the continuous restorative growth of residents' income, residents' consumption expenditure maintained a restorative rebound, and the two-year average growth rate has accelerated.

  In the first half of 2021, the national per capita consumption expenditure of residents was 11,471 yuan, a nominal increase of 18.0%. After deducting the impact of price factors, the actual increase was 17.4%.

  From a local perspective, Shanghai can make the most money, but also spend it the most. In the first half of the year, the per capita consumption expenditure of residents was 23,644 yuan, the highest in the country.
