The Loto has a new record.

A player won a gain of thirty million euros on Saturday evening, the largest sum ever since the game was launched in 1976, according to the Française des Jeux (FDJ).

To win he ticked the numbers 5, 18, 23, 34, 44 and 5 for luck.

The jackpot was won in Ille-et-Vilaine, after 28 consecutive draws without a winner.

The last record dates from September 11 and stood at 26 million euros.

Tailor-made support

"In the history of Loto, this is the seventh time that the jackpot has exceeded the symbolic bar of 20 million euros", according to the FDJ.

The Loto Big Winners department is now awaiting the call of the lucky one to offer him "personalized support and workshops to allow [him] to enter serenely into [his] new life".
