On the evening of July 8, a news that "Rainbow Bridge of Qinghua Town, Wuyuan County, Jiangxi, collapsed due to flooding" circulated on the Internet, causing many netizens to pay attention. On July 9, the government of Qinghua Town, Wuyuan County responded to the media that “only part of the bridge deck was damaged and the pier was basically kept intact. It will be repaired after the weather is good.”

It is understood that the Wuyuan Rainbow Bridge was built in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). This bridge is named after the Tang poetry "Two Waters Mirror, Double Bridges Falling Rainbow". The bridge is 140 meters long and the bridge deck is more than 3 meters wide. The 4 piers and 5 holes are composed of 11 corridor pavilions with stone tables and stone benches. They are praised by many media as "out of print in the history of Chinese corridor bridges" and "one of the most beautiful corridor bridges in China." (Editor Lu Jie)
