• The second part of the fourth season of

    Stranger Things

has been online on Netflix since the beginning of July.

  • After a last episode of more than two hours, many questions remain about the continuation of the series

  • The next and final season promises to be strong in emotions.

It will be available in late 2023 or early 2024.

After more than three years of waiting, Netflix's flagship series resumed for a fourth season in June, and unveiled its last two episodes on the platform on July 1.

Two cinematographic episodes, almost an hour and a half for the first, and more than two hours for the second: enough to solve a lot of questions and intrigues of the saga.

For this new season, the Hawkins band is back, all in mules and geometric shirts reminiscent of the 1980s. The evil monsters are also still there and the story is getting more complex... Despite the end of the season, many questions subsist.

If you haven't had time to watch the last two episodes yet, we advise you to go your way: disclosure in sight, as our Quebec friends would say.

Will Vecna be back in season 5?

While Vecna/Henry/One ended up burned alive and shot through by the alliance of Robin, Steve and Nancy, and deeply injured by Eleven in the “Upside Down” (“the world upside down” in VF) , it seems not to have completely disappeared, quite the contrary.

Having put Max in a state of clinical death, Vecna managed to have his four victims, allowing to activate the four portals located at the four corners of Hawkins… And to cause an earthquake devastating a large part of the dwellings.

The final minutes of the season's final episode show the dam between the real world and the "Upside Down" broken, with flowers rotting and the air infested with whitish particles.

Will feels Vecna's presence and announces it clearly to his friends: he is hurt, he is in pain and he wants revenge.

After spending an entire season exploring the character of Vecna - and explaining why he's been THE big bad all along - chances are the next season will see him return for one last fight...

Will Max come out of the coma?

After a fierce fight against Vecna and a macabre dive into his memories, Max almost passed out.

Kate Bush's famous song couldn't do anything about it.

Eyes rolled back, legs and arms almost broken… The scene of Max's death in Lucas' arms caused more than one tear to flow from the fans.

However, Eleven, thanks to her powers, gave her a breath of life: now she is on the razor's edge.

Trying to infiltrate her mind as she visits him in the hospital, Eleven finds Max's mind empty… The fate of the latter therefore remains one of the major questions to be settled in season 5. The heroine redhead come back to life?

If yes, in what state?

Eleven, Lucas, Dustin, Mike, Will will they manage to have a "normal" life?

Even though the band of friends never had a very “normal” life since the start of season 1, their daily lives alternated between saving the world, fighting monsters… and going to class or playing

Dungeons & Dragons

.

Eleven, during season 3 and at the beginning of season 4, repeats how badly she wants a normal, uneventful life.

However, in view of the last minutes of season 4, this aspiration to serene routine is compromised.

It's hard to imagine any respite as portals are open all over Hawkins and an imminent threat hangs over the town.

However, showrunner Ross Duffer revealed that there could be a time jump between this season and the next: "Ideally, we would have shot seasons 4 and 5 back to back, but that's not was not feasible.

So these are discussions that we will have with our writers when we launch the writing sessions.

The duffers brothers better get season 5 out real soon because that ending... #strangerthingsseason4 #StrangerThings4 pic.twitter.com/8mhenp14Jc

Where did Yuri, Murray and Enzo go?

After spending part of the season exploring a Soviet prison, Joyce and Murray eventually pick up Hopper, picking up Yuri, a low-morale Russian trafficker, and Enzo, a former Russian guard turned prisoner in Hopper's cell.

An escape worthy of the greatest action films, based on helicopters and flamethrowers, which allowed the merry American-Russian gang to escape from Russia.

However, at the end of the episode, when Eleven and Hopper meet again, and Joyce joins her family, there is no trace of Yuri, nor of Enzo, and even less of Murray.

If the latter may have returned home (and back in season 5?), we do not know the fate of the two Russians, surely wanted by the KGB.

Will they return to Hawkins?

Will the USSR and its KGB be involved?

Case to follow.

Murray is the hero of this season of #StrangerThings4

-He speaks Russian

-He is a black belt

-He is crazy / brave

-He manages the rissoto -And

above all he saved everyone

This character suffered a total Glow up during this season

Which characters will end up together?

Beyond storylines involving a monster-infested parallel world,

Stranger Things

is also about love.

At the end of season 4, several couples seem to have formed/closed or, on the contrary, to be in bad shape.

Will the romance of Mike and Eleven continue, after the doubts of this one at the start of the season?

Will Lucas and Max get back together if she survives?

Will Dustin find Suzy, his long-distance lover?

Nancy wonders about her relationship with Jonathan, which is faltering, while her ex, Steve, made a declaration of love to her in the middle of the “Upside Down”.

She faces a tough decision as the world crumbles and her college days approach.

This season 4 of

Stranger Things

is also that of the coming-out (more or less clear) of certain characters: if Robin tries to overcome his shyness (and the latent lesbophobia of the time) to approach the girl of his dreams, to Will, everything seems more complicated.

The teenager does not reveal his romantic and sexual orientation during this season but his very strong feelings for Mike can be read over the episodes, and in particular in the ninth, where he stifles his sobs.

A scene that moved many fans.

Will Hawkins be able to have a happy ending?

This will be the whole issue of this season 5: will Hawkins end up on fire and blood (which has already been the case for four seasons), or will she be able to be saved by Eleven and her bandaged ?

One thing is certain, it is that the Duffer brothers already know the end of the story and have declared in numerous interviews to have written the main lines of season 5, which will be the last, during the periods of confinement.

A final season that promises to be full of twists and turns, and which should arrive much earlier than expected: “The interval should be shorter this time, since we already have the main lines (of season 5).

[…] And we can’t imagine another forced six-month break,” the brothers told Variety magazine.

An arrival on our screens scheduled for the end of 2023, or even 2024.
