Looking at the changes along the Tianlu Road of the Highland Speeding Fuxing (first-line research)

The Lalin Railway has transported more than 1.1 million passengers in one year since its opening.

Since the opening and operation of the Lalin Railway, "motor vehicle travel" has become the daily travel mode of many local residents.

With the shortening of travel time between cities, personnel exchanges and economic and trade exchanges between the hinterland of southeastern Tibet and the interior have become closer, industrial development has been accelerated, and more and more people have found employment at their doorsteps.

The Fuxing EMU galloping on the snowy plateau is truly changing the travel, production and life of local residents, and is carrying fellow villagers towards the ever-changing future.

At 7:00 in the morning, the Lhasa Railway Station, which is 3,700 meters above sea level, gradually became noisy - tourists with suitcases and big sunglasses, local residents wearing Tibetan robes and carrying large bags, in groups of three or five, waiting for the broadcast Notice.

"Passengers taking the C881 train, please go to the ticket gate..." The announcement sounded, and the loose crowd began to flow slowly.

The Fuxing EMU train and the regular-speed train parked on the platform side by side, and the sunlight poured in from the east end of the platform, and the eyes were full of gold.

Over the past year, such scenes have appeared every day at Lhasa Station, and "getting on the train to go far away" has become a common way of travel.

However, just a year ago, all this was still a dream.

Previously, the cities of Shannan and Nyingchi in southeastern Tibet had not been covered by the railway network.

On June 25, 2021, the Lalin Railway was put into operation, and the history of no trains in southeastern Tibet ended. Fuxing was the first time to travel on the plateau.

  Lhasa, go-

The way you travel begins to change

In front of the green Fuxing EMU train, many tourists took out their mobile phones to take pictures.

"This is the first time for me to ride a bullet train in the plateau. I took a few photos and sent it to a circle of friends to commemorate it," said a tourist from Xi'an.

"Since the opening of the railway, both tourists and local residents love to take pictures here." Tan Zhen, the conductor of the train, came up and introduced to the reporter with a smile.

For Tan Zhen, the newest thing is speed.

Previously, only ordinary-speed trains operated in Tibet, which meant that the competitiveness of railways was rather limited compared to highways.

With the opening of the Lalin Railway, the convenience of the railway is further highlighted, and the travel time is greatly shortened.

Although the design speed is 160 kilometers per hour, it has been improved a lot compared to the previous ordinary speed trains.

For passengers, the freshest is the view and experience.

Passengers got on the train one by one, put their luggage on the luggage rack, and the carriage soon became lively.

"There is a feature of this train. Guess which of our tickets sells the best?" Tan Zhen asked as she walked.

"Second-class seat?" The reporter judged based on experience.

"It's a business seat and a first-class seat!" Tan Zhen gave the answer, "Our business seat and first-class seat are often hard to get a ticket. The scenery along the way is magnificent, and everyone wants to enjoy the scenery in a more comfortable position."

In the past, it took more than 4 hours to drive from Lhasa to Nyingchi on the highway.

After the Fuxing was opened to traffic, the time was shortened to more than 3 hours.

"The total time is only 1 hour short, is the value really that great?" Some people are quite puzzled about this.

Change is not just an account of time.

The railway has chosen a different route than the expressway - the route is not the shortest, but it strives to cover more districts and counties along the route.

Today, from Lhasa to Nyingchi, one side is connected by expressway, and the other side is connected by railway. All districts and counties along the line are included in the rapid transportation network.

In one year of working on the Lalin Railway, Tan Zhen's most impressive passenger was a Tibetan child.

That time, a dark-skinned boy with a big bag caught her attention.

Tan Zhen recalled that the child's name was Tashi, and he took the train with his family to Lhasa to go to primary school, and went to reunite with his sister who could only go home once in half a year.

His hometown is in Jiacha County, Shannan City, a county that has never been connected to a highway before. The railway is less than two hours away, and it takes four or five hours to drive.

Tan Zhen said: "This line has run more and more, and the awareness of it is constantly improving - this is not only a huge achievement in the field of construction, but also brings real changes to many people."

According to reports, the Lalin Railway covers an area of 226,300 square kilometers and directly benefits 1.31 million people.

Since its opening and operation for one year, it has transported a total of 1.137 million passengers, which is truly changing people's travel, production and life.

  Shannan, galloping—

  Industrial development continues to accelerate

Boarding the car and putting the large and small bags in the luggage rack, the passenger Sang Zhu was panting from exhaustion: "These are samples, brought for the exhibition."

Sangzhu is a native of Gacha County. He and his family have been making handicrafts such as Tibetan bowls for more than 30 years. Now he runs a business that makes ethnic handicrafts.

"National handicrafts are mainly for tourists and professional enthusiasts. People often like to see real objects before placing orders. Various exhibitions and storefronts are still our main sales channels." Sangzhu said.

For Sangzhu, traveling to Shannan or downtown Lhasa to sell her own products is commonplace, but the time and economic cost are both challenges.

"Now, a train ticket saves time and energy, and doing business is much more convenient!" said Sangzhu.

The train runs at a new speed, and the industries along the line also usher in new opportunities.

According to the person in charge of the Transportation Department of China National Railway Group, the Lalin Railway has shortened the travel time between cities along the line, and has strengthened personnel exchanges and economic and trade exchanges between the hinterland of southeastern Tibet and the interior. The "3-hour economic circle" in Lhasa, Nyingchi and other cities has initially formed. , which has injected a strong impetus into enriching the people and rejuvenating Tibet.

"After the opening of the Lalin Railway, the tourism industry in our county has developed better!" Gao Daquan, a cadre of Hubei aid to Tibet, is now the deputy head of Jiacha County. Not long ago, he went to Lhasa to participate in the tourism recommendation of Shannan City organized by the tourism department. meeting.

"To be honest, I didn't expect much before I went." Unexpectedly, this year's promotion will be exceptionally successful.

After some inquiries, Gao Daquan realized that when many people choose their travel destination on weekends, they will give priority to the area covered by trains. Gacha, which is about 2 hours away by train from Lhasa, has become a new choice for many people.

Since last year, the number of hotel beds in Jiacha County has grown rapidly, from more than 300 before to about 500.

Jiacha County has also opened a shuttle bus at the railway station, leading to the county seat and some popular townships, to help tourists travel seamlessly.

In addition to rich tourism resources, Jiacha County is also rich in walnuts.

In order to optimize the walnut processing industry chain, the local research team from Changjiang University was introduced to provide the walnut industry with scientific and technological services such as breeding and grafting of fine varieties, and successfully developed deep processing products such as walnut peptides and walnut proteins.

Design packaging to make Jiacha walnuts a souvenir for tourists; contact customers and sell Jiacha walnuts to farther places by train; intensive processing to continuously improve the added value of Jiacha walnuts...

The train galloped through river valleys, mountain forests and countless dams.

There are many resources to be developed along the railway, and the people who come along the railway also bring new vitality to the accelerated development of local industries.

  Lang County, China Unicom——

Life and transportation are more convenient

Lang County is located at the midpoint of Lhasa and Nyingchi.

In the past, it took a long time for local people to travel to these two places.

Until the railway passed through Langxian County, the previous inconvenience was thrown away by the train.

The elderly need support and the children need to be taken care of. Fu Linying, a staff member of the Langxian County Party Committee Office, is pulling a family of young and old to board the train.

Although I was in a hurry, I was very happy to be able to visit my husband in the urban area of Nyingchi and have a family reunion.

Although the distance from Lang County to Nyingchi City is only over 200 kilometers, it is full of rugged mountain roads. It takes four hours by car and five or six hours by bus.

Fu Linying's husband was transferred to work in the urban area of Linzhi a few years ago. Due to the inconvenience of transportation, the family gathers less and leaves more.

One year after the railway opened to traffic, Fu Linying felt unprecedented convenience.

When work is not busy, you can go to Nyingchi on Friday night, and you can arrive in an hour and a half.

The husband waited at Nyingchi Station, picked up the old and the young and went home, and the family could spend a warm weekend together.

After the opening of the Lalin Railway, more than 4,300 passengers were sent daily, and many families like Fu Linying had more opportunities to reunite.

In addition to being fast and comfortable, punctuality and stability are also the advantages of railways.

Nima Tsering, the former director of the Lang County Development and Reform Commission, opened a book in the car and read it with peace of mind, no longer anxious about the arrival time.

Because of the need to go through the approval procedures for various projects, it is Nima Tsering's daily work to travel to and from Nyingchi and Lhasa from Lang County.

Along the way are mountain roads, driving a car is not only dangerous, but also has uncertainty in time.

Once, he took a car to Nyingchi to participate in the project review, but when he arrived in Milin County, he encountered flash floods and the road was washed away.

He had to stay local and missed the project review time.

"If you reorganize the review, you will have to repeatedly invest time, energy and money." Nima Tsering sighed with emotion.

Because of this, Nima Tsering generally needs to allow enough time for the journey, one to two days in advance is common.

Now, he no longer has such concerns.

The next day I have official business in Nyingchi city, I can still work normally in the unit in the afternoon, and I can go to the train station on time in the evening.

Coping with uncertainty means additional costs.

Whether visiting family or traveling, people are looking forward to a more punctual and stable mode of transportation, making rail a better choice.

  Linzhi, arrived——

  Employment at your doorstep

Admiring the beautiful scenery outside the window, Lin Zhi stood there before she knew it.

This is the end of many tourists' journeys, but for Phuntsok, a villager in Duodang Village, Bujiu Township, Bayi District, Nyingchi City, Nyingchi Station is the starting point for him and his fellow villagers to pursue a happy life.

A train slowly entered Nyingchi Station. Unlike the Green Fuxing train for passenger transportation, this was a freight train full of supplies.

It's the busy time of Phuntsok again.

"Construction started!" Phuntsok greeted the man. Four forklifts were quickly put in place and began to unload the goods. The things to be loaded and unloaded were daily necessities such as beverages and flour.

Over the past year, commodities including more than 6,100 tons of food and beverages and more than 3,800 tons of electrical appliances have been delivered to Nyingchi Station.

In the past, these goods had to be transported by road - several times more expensive than today's train transportation, not to mention some special construction materials that are difficult to transport on a large scale by road.

Relying on railways to develop freight has not only reduced transportation costs, but also allowed some people to find a direction for their efforts.

After loading the goods on the forklift, the stevedore Nima turned the head of the truck, and then placed the goods neatly on the truck on one side, and was quite skilled in the operation.

Phuntsok gave a thumbs up: "Do you see the big crane next to you? Nima is preparing for the examination. If he passes the examination, his salary will increase a lot!"

At the busiest time last summer, there were a total of 60 or 70 stevedores in the cargo yard, and most of the able-bodied people in Duodang Village worked here.

"Before everyone went out to work, not to mention the hard work, but still thinking about the family. Now I work in the freight yard, and I can go home to eat after finishing my work." Phuntsok said.

At present, the railway department has recruited more than 400 people to work in cleaning and security inspections.

Relying on the Lalin Railway, more and more people have achieved employment at their doorsteps.

On the day when the Lalin Railway was opened to traffic, a short video was circulated in the circle of friends of local residents: Fuxing passed by, a group of people sitting in the ground waved to the railway, and a child swayed excitedly.

At that time, people were still very unfamiliar with this train.

On the first anniversary of the opening of the Lalin Railway, the reporter met a child named Dolma on the train.

She is from Shengkagang Village, Amdo County, Nagqu City - this is the first time she has taken an EMU train in her life.

Looking out the window, Dolma didn't know what he was thinking.

The train passed through the bridges and tunnels, and the mountains, rivers, buildings and roads kept flashing in her eyes.

Dolma will eventually get used to Fuxing flying across the snowy plateau, just as she will get used to the rapid changes in her hometown.
