Glinde (dpa / lno) - More than two years after a dead baby was found in Glinde (Stormarn district), the boy's mother remains unknown despite extensive investigations and a DNA screening.

Because there are no further approaches, the investigation has been set, the police and public prosecutor announced on Tuesday.

Schoolchildren discovered the dead baby in March 2019 in Gellhornpark in Glinde.

After the boy was found, the investigators asked 528 women and girls between the ages of 13 and 48 from the vicinity of the site of the discovery to take part in a DNA screening with a voluntary saliva sample.

In February and June of last year, 523 women took part or provided a certificate that they would leave the child as the mother of the child.

According to the information, after further checks, no initial suspicion could be established against the five other women who gave neither a certificate nor a saliva sample.
