After the European Council last Friday, it is increasingly evident that the Spanish Government will not be able to receive massive European funds without conditions. At a minimum, they will demand reforms that make the fourth euro economy more competitive and with healthier accounts. The demands of the countries of the North are summarized in a 16-page letter sent to the Dutch Parliament by the Dutch finance ministers , Wopke Hoekstra and Foreign Affairs, Stef Blok in which they not only question the need to give subsidies to the countries of the South, but even link possible loans to reforms in their economies, including pension reforms. « No
