Images that plunge "into the intimacy of a legend", this is the promise of

Johnny by Johnny

, the new documentary series from Netflix dedicated to Johnny Hallyday.

The five episodes, whose release is scheduled for March 29, tell "the singer and the man as he saw himself, through interviews and unpublished archive footage", promises the synopsis.

His marriages, the birth of his children, his relationship with the public and his darker periods are all themes that the documentary series should address, according to the first trailer unveiled Friday by the streaming giant.

Johnny Hallyday in voiceover

"When we land at the bottom of the abyss, it makes you want to kick and go back up", we hear Johnny Hallyday confide before seeing the images of this famous crossing of the crowd when he entered the stage at the Parc des Princes in 1993. Although we almost know this sequence by heart,

Johnny par Johnny

will be full of rarer images, even those never broadcast before, in particular those of the singer's debut.

Directed by Alexandre Danchin and Jonathan Gallaud, this documentary series is assembled in such a way as to give the feeling that it is Johnny Hallyday himself who is telling his story through the many interviews he has given throughout his career.

Some of his relatives, like Line Renaud, his guitarist Yarol Poupaud or his friend Philippe Labro, will also come to shed some light.
