On July 31, local time, the Myanmar National Defense Forces Command issued a notice stating that it will continue to work hard to carry out peace talks with local armed forces of various ethnic groups and will extend the ceasefire period to August 31 in addition to the implementation of national defense and management tasks.

  The announcement also stated that it will continue to implement the five-point road map and nine goals proposed by the National Management Committee, and strive to improve the country’s political, commercial and other fields.

It is hoped that all organizations and individuals who are stakeholders in the peace process should make collective efforts through continued peace talks to achieve national peace and tranquility, socio-economic development, and the pursuit of democracy in the right way.

At the same time, the announcement also stated that it will actively participate in and promote the fight against the new crown epidemic.
