Social media accounts published videos of the moment a Chinese passenger plane with 132 people on board crashed in southwest China, today, Monday, and one of the videos showed that the plane crashed vertically in dense forests.
Earlier, China Eastern Airlines announced the death toll in the plane crash, noting that the cause of the accident was still under investigation.
"The company extends its deepest condolences for the death of passengers and crew members in the plane crash," the company said in a statement, without giving details of the death toll.
