"The transport strategy until 2035 does not impose any restrictions on the development of all types of transport, including personal," RIA Novosti quotes a statement from the department.

The ministry stressed that the corresponding strategy does not imply any restrictions on the use of personal cars, but is only aimed at "increasing the mobility and quality of life of citizens, the consistent development of all types of transport."

Earlier, Kommersant published an article on the development of Russia's transport strategy until 2035.

It says that the authorities plan to take a number of measures, in particular, to reduce the number of trips in cars with non-environmentally friendly engines, establish "digital control" for road noise and significantly increase the number of gas stations for electric vehicles.

On November 26, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the government had adopted Russia's transport strategy until 2030 with a forecast until 2035.
