The Ministry of the Interior wants to dissolve the anti-fascist group Gale

The antifascist group Lyon and surroundings (Gale) is the subject of a dissolution procedure launched by the Ministry of the Interior, reports

.

Gérald Darmanin had requested an investigation following anti-police remarks made during the promotion of the Lyon Antifa Fest festival, in Vaulx-en-Velin, in September 2021.

On January 20, Gale relayed a tweet from the environmental movement Les Uprisings of the Earth asking the pharmaceutical group Bayer to move its French headquarters, located in Lyon.

A request accompanied by threats of destruction, noted by the group Rassemblement de la droit, du center et de la société civile de la Métropole de Lyon, which demanded the dissolution of the anti-fascist movement.

On March 17, documents attesting to the initiation of a dissolution procedure were sent to members of the Gale.

These, who have 10 days to contest the acts of violence of which they are accused, intend to demonstrate this Saturday afternoon, Place des Terreaux.
