Wang Lingling is 39 years old this year, and her birthday is October 25, the anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers' resistance to US aggression and aid to Korea.
"Grandpa's experience in resisting U.S. aggression and aid Korea and my birthday have made me destined to be related to resisting U.S. aggression and aid Korea in my life." She is now an interpreter at the Anti-U.S. Aid Korea Martyrs Cemetery in Dongchang District, Tonghua City, Jilin Province. After she grew up, she remembered her grandfather when she heard about the War of Resisting U.S. Aid Korea.
Wang Lingling is always full of passion every time he explains the history of resisting US aggression and aid to Korea to visitors.
"Others listen to my explanation and always say that I am too excited, where is so much passion!" she said.
Lingling Wang had worked in towns and social welfare organizations, and only officially came to work in the Martyrs Cemetery in 2016.
She said that when she came to the Martyrs Cemetery, she found a place where she could use her talents, and it was also a place she liked.
"Whenever you explain the story of the Korean War to Resist US Aid and Aid Korea, you can think of grandpa and his comrades in a long conversation, and listen to them recalling the tragic war." Wang Lingling said.
On October 22, 1950, as the first group of troops to join the war in North Korea, the troops of Wang Lingling's grandfather Wang Jianhua crossed the Yalu River.
Wang Jianhua joined the Chinese Communist Party on the Korean battlefield and grew from an ordinary soldier to a commander of a grassroots company.
During the Korean battlefield, due to incorrect information transmission, his wife accidentally received the news of "Wang Jianhua's sacrifice".
His wife was unbelievable about this, and went all the way from Hebei to Jilin.
"The hard work pays off. In the end, grandma found the grandfather, and the grandfather who came back with meritorious service." Wang Lingling said.
Wang Lingling recalled that when she was a child, one of her grandfather's comrades in arms often came to visit, and once visited for 4 consecutive days, all in order to remember the past of the war.
"In a winter battle, my grandpa fell in a pool of blood after being injured, and he couldn't get up for a long time, and finally didn't know how to come back. Grandpa repeatedly mentioned the battle, always lamenting as if he had lost his life." Wang Lingling Said that because of the injury in the battle, Grandpa later developed old cold legs and was very uncomfortable when he became ill.

In 1958, Wang Jianhua worked in the local food system after changing jobs and held leadership positions, but he never gave his children a “back door”. The children’s work was all resolved by their own efforts. Wang Lingling’s post is still a public welfare post.
"Grandpa manages the family very strictly, and his children respect grandpa." Wang Lingling said.
She said that in the future, she plans to donate all of her grandfather's military medals to the memorial hall of the Martyrs' Cemetery to Resist US Aid Korea, and include her grandfather's deeds into her explanation draft, so that more people will know about that period of history and love peace.
