  • Until then limited to 43 municipalities in the Toulouse metropolitan area, the curfew is now in force throughout the Haute-Garonne.

  • The mask is made compulsory in all public spaces and places of the department.

No more differences between municipalities.

As announced Thursday by Prime Minister Jean Castex, all of Haute-Garonne, like 52 other departments and Polynesia, is now placed under curfew, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The prefecture published a decree on Saturday to specify the terms of this decision, taken in a context of the rapid spread of the coronavirus.

"They come into force immediately and apply until November 13 inclusive", indicates the text.

Ban on most indoor sporting and cultural activities, event level limited to 1,000 people ... 1.4 million Haut-Garonnais, or the entire population, are placed in the same boat as the other 45 million French people under curfew.

From Fronton to Luchon, those over 11 must wear a mask “on public roads or in a place open to the public between 6 am and 3 am”.

The only exceptions are people practicing an outdoor sport activity, those who circulate in classified natural areas and disabled people with a medical certificate.

An incidence rate of 547.9 per 100,000 inhabitants among 20-30 year olds

The prefecture indicates elsewhere that "over the whole of Haute-Garonne, the incidence rate is now at 306.2 per 100,000 inhabitants, significantly higher than the maximum alert threshold set at 250 per 100,000 inhabitants".

It even reaches 547.9 in 20-30 year olds.

“If it is lower for our elders [the 60-70 years], with 195.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, it continues to increase for this particularly vulnerable population, ensures the text.

The positivity rate in the department is 14.8%.

"

In ten intercommunalities in the department, the general incidence rate “has exceeded the maximum alert threshold or is about to exceed it, ranging from 238.5 [community of communes of the Save to Touch] to 373.7 [ Toulouse Métropole] ”.

To complete this gloomy picture, the Haute-Garonne prefecture takes stock of the hospital system: “Across the Occitania region, the occupancy rate of intensive care beds is now close to 45%.

Remember that the maximum alert threshold is 30%.

If the dynamics of contaminations are not broken, a new saturation of the hospital system is to be feared soon.

"

In the whole of the Occitanie region, only three departments escape the curfew for the time being: Aude, Gers and Lot.
