On July 1, the China Railway Bridge Bureau announced that the main channel bridge of the Longxiang Bridge Project of the Greater Bay Area Project has been completed, and the whole bridge is planned to be completed before the end of this year.

After the project is completed and opened to traffic, it will further improve the regional transportation structure in Foshan, Guangdong Province, improve the transportation capacity of the river crossing channel, and promote the social and economic integration of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

  Longxiang Bridge is a control project in the Longxiang Bridge and Approach Project. The total length of the bridge is 1549.04 meters, and the main span is (118+2×202+93) meters of steel-concrete mixed continuous beams.

  According to reports, the Longxiang Bridge and the Approach Road Project are the key connecting lines of the circular expressway between Chancheng, Nanhai, Gaoming and Sanshui districts, and are also an important project for Foshan City to promote the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

After the project is completed, the travel time from Chancheng to Nanhai will be shortened.
