The leader of the Vårbynätverket was the person who received the longest sentence when the Court of Appeal announced the verdict in February, but now he wants the verdict tried.

Chihab Lamouri was convicted of attempted murder, robbery, extortion, public destruction and extensive drug trafficking.

“After an extensive analysis of the Court of Appeal's judgment, we are of the opinion that the Court of Appeal in several respects landed in several incorrect legal conclusions.

Furthermore, my principal has received an unusually severe sentence in the light of practice from other similar cases.

Our hope is therefore that the Supreme Court will take an interest in the issues and try them "

, writes Lamouri's defense lawyer Filip Rydin in an email to SVT Nyheter Stockholm.
