The film company Nevis is making the film, in collaboration with the band members.

The script is written by Pernilla Oljelund, who has previously worked on productions such as "Miss Friman's War" and "Wallander".

The film is described as a warm feelgood story about friendship and about growing up in the spotlight.

- We were like any young guys in a small town, with big dreams and music as passion.

We were inspired by the pop music of that time and we became friends for life in the rehearsal room where we more or less grew up together, says Per Gessle in a press release.

But the story will also depict adversity within the group, pressure, conflicts and tragic events that challenge the band.

Gyllene Tider was formed in the late 70's with Per Gessle, Mats Persson, Micke Andersson, Anders Herrlin and Göran Fritzon as members.

They have been reunited several times, most recently in 2019. At that time, Gyllene Tider celebrated 40 years as a band, and also released the studio album "Samma skrot och korn".

- All the years with Gyllene Tider have changed our lives fundamentally and it seems that the audience that grew up with us is still just as passionate.

To be able to collaborate and follow this production will be extremely exciting, says Per Gessle.
